Taylor’s mission is to turn the often daunting world of IEPs, Section 504 plans, and disability rights in schools into an enjoyable and empowering experience for families! As a former special education teacher who later spent many years defending school districts in special education legal disputes, Taylor knows the ins and outs of navigating the educational system and now stands ready to champion the rights of families with students with disabilities across Texas.
Taylor is equipped to handle everything from ARD meetings to legal disputes with school districts, all while keeping things lively and transparent. She recognizes that, while school districts and parents don’t always see eye-to-eye, both sides typically share a common goal, which is the best interests of the student. Taylor believes collaboration between the ARD committee is a critical step in ensuring a student receives a free appropriate public education.
As a mother of two active children, Taylor ensures that the focus remains on your child’s best interests and celebrates each victory—big or small—as if they happened for her own child.
