About Me

  • Grew up in New Orleans, LA (Who dat?)

  • Received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia

  • Participated in Teach for America in New Orleans, LA following college

  • Taught special education (Pre-K through 8) and helped form the special education department at a brand new, high-performing charter school in Louisiana

  • Moved to Dallas (my husband’s hometown) specifically to pursue a career as a special education attorney

  • Received a Juris Doctorate from SMU in 2019

  • Formerly represented school districts, charter schools, independent schools, and colleges/universities in a variety of school law matters

  • Frequent presenter at conferences and trainings on a variety of special education issues throughout Texas

  • Also experienced as a corporate litigator

  • Lives in Dallas, Texas with my husband, two children, and Shih Tzu named Oreo

  • Loves spending weekends at soccer games, hosting playdates, and trying new restaurants around town
